A meeting of German shoemaking and Japanese textile artistry, Tödi_suz reinterprets the iconic Trippen Tödi through a special collaboration with Suzusan. The classic men’s lace-up silhouette becomes a canvas for traditional Shibori dyeing, combining relaxed functionality with expressive handcrafted detail.
The upper is crafted from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton denim, hand-dyed by Suzusan artisans in Arimatsu, Japan. The Nemaki pattern features organic white ring-like motifs against a deep navy background. Natural variations created during the dyeing process ensure that every pair has its own individual appearance.
Vegetable-tanned black leather piping frames the textile panels and reinforces the rounded toe, lacing and collar. The contrast between richly coloured denim and structured leather adds definition while maintaining the familiar, easy-going character of the original Tödi.
