Conceptual, layered and distinctly Trippen, Sisyphos was developed from an original idea by Karl Gebhardt: a shoe constructed from two heel sections assembled into one. The resulting design places the familiar form of Trippen’s Pot over the toe of a second Derby shoe, creating an unexpected reinterpretation of two classic silhouettes.
The overlapping uppers produce a sculptural double-shoe effect, with curved edges and lacing extending across the forefoot. High-gloss black LXP leather adds polished definition to the reinforced details, while softly tumbled black WAW leather introduces natural texture and depth. Both vegetable-tanned leathers soften with wear, allowing the distinctive construction to develop a more personal character over time.
Bold without feeling excessive, Sisyphos combines experimental craftsmanship with a wearable monochrome palette. Its unusual proportions pair naturally with wide-leg trousers, relaxed tailoring and layered contemporary looks.
