Conceptual, layered and distinctly Trippen, Sisyphos was developed from an original idea by Karl Gebhardt: a shoe constructed from two heel sections assembled into one. The familiar form of Trippen’s Pot is laced over the toe of a second Derby shoe, creating a sculptural double-shoe effect with curved openings and unexpected proportions.
The three variations give this expressive construction a different character:
Black LHT / Black WAW combines washed, visibly textured LHT leather with softly tumbled WAW leather. Contrasting white stitching and a natural-coloured midsole accentuate the layered construction, giving this version the most rugged and handcrafted appearance.
Black LXP / Black WAW contrasts polished, high-gloss LXP leather with the softer grain of WAW leather. The entirely black finish creates a sleek, architectural look while subtle differences in texture reveal the shoe’s overlapping panels.
Espresso LXP / Espresso WAW brings warmth and depth to the design. Rich brown leather is complemented by exposed natural edges, highlighting the curved opening and sculptural shape with a refined vintage character.
