Leather/Color wax

wax

Vegetable-tanned calf leather with a pull-up effect, giving it a rich depth and natural variations in color. Dyed through and treated with a wax finish, this leather develops a distinctive patina over time.

With wear and exposure to sunlight, the color will darken, enhancing its character. The leather softens with use and may stretch, adapting to the shape of the foot. Due to the deep dyeing process, some color transfer may occur, especially when worn unlined.

Care Instructions

Vegetable-tanned leathers are highly sensitive to humidity and require gentle maintenance. Wipe dirt off carefully using a soft cloth to prevent damage to the surface. Moisture from both inside and outside can leave marks and cause color changes, while liquids such as oil and dirt may result in irreversible stains.

Avoid excessive use of shoe care products, as they can block the leather pores and alter the color. For occasional care, we recommend using Collonil Waterstop Colours to protect and nourish the leather. Small scratches can be treated with matching shoe polish to restore the surface while maintaining its natural look.

If a thin white layer appears on the leather, it is simply surplus wax that can be easily removed. To restore the original appearance, gently heat the leather for a moment using a hair dryer, allowing the wax to be absorbed.
