Leather/Color buf

buf

A durable vegetable-tanned buffalo leather with an oiled surface and a naturally irregular texture, giving it a rugged yet refined character. Over time, the color deepens gradually, especially with exposure to sunlight, enhancing its rich, organic appeal.

This leather softens with wear and may stretch, molding to the foot for a more personalized fit. Due to its relative thickness, it is sturdier than other leathers, offering increased durability and resilience, making it ideal for long-lasting footwear.

Care Instructions

Vegetable-tanned buffalo leather is highly sensitive to humidity and requires gentle maintenance to preserve its natural beauty. To clean, wipe off dirt carefully using a soft cloth, avoiding excessive rubbing that may alter the texture. Moisture from both inside and outside can cause marks and color changes, while liquids like oil and dirt may leave irreversible stains.

Avoid overusing shoe care products, as they can block the leather pores and lead to color alterations. For occasional maintenance, we recommend Collonil Waterstop Colours to protect and nourish the leather. Small scratches can be treated with matching shoe polish to restore the surface.

If a thin white layer appears on the leather, it is simply surplus wax and can be easily removed. For best results, gently heat the leather with a hair dryer for a moment to soften and absorb the wax, restoring its original appearance.
