Leather/Color bat

bat

This half vegetable, half synthetic-tanned calf leather is designed for durability and softness. To achieve its supple feel, the leather undergoes a tumbling process, which may result in irregular coloring and surface texture, making each piece unique.

Over time, the color will naturally darken, especially with exposure to sunlight. The leather will also soften further with wear and may stretch, adapting to the shape of the foot for a more personalized fit.

The vibrant colors are particularly sensitive to staining, moisture, and scratches, requiring extra care to maintain their original appearance.

Care Instructions

Vegetable-tanned leathers, including Bat leather, are highly sensitive to humidity. To clean, gently wipe off dirt using a soft cloth to avoid damaging the surface. Moisture from both inside and outside can cause marks and color changes, while liquids like oil and dirt may leave irreversible stains.

Avoid excessive use of shoe care products, as this can block the leather pores and lead to color alterations. For occasional maintenance, we recommend using Collonil Waterstop Colours on plain leathers to help protect and nourish the material. Small scratches can be treated with matching shoe polish to restore the leather’s appearance.
